Global Eggs Expands European Presence with Acquisition of El Granjero
Luxembourg, august 18th, 2025
Global Eggs has announced a new acquisition in Europe, strengthening its footprint in the region. The company has acquired El Granjero, a family-owned farming business with at least three production units located in the Cuéllar area, including two facilities in the province of Segovia and one in Valladolid. The deal was finalized last week.
This marks Global Eggs’ second recent acquisition in Spain. In May of this year, the company acquired Legaria, adding a total of 1 million laying hens to the group’s operations. With this latest purchase, the conglomerate now oversees 43 million birds worldwide across 93 farms.
“El Granjero is a family-run business with annual revenues of €70 million, managed by two brothers,” said Ricardo Faria, Global Eggs founder. “This acquisition not only brings valuable production capacity, but also reinforces our commitment to growth in Europe.”
