The holding company controlled by Ricardo Faria — which includes Hevo Group and Granja Faria — is set to expand its international footprint through a USD 1.1 billion acquisition agreement in the United States with Hillandale Farms.

Founded in 1958 as a family business and headquartered in Pennsylvania (USA), Hillandale Farms manages a flock of 20 million hens and is one of the top five egg producers in the country. In addition to egg production, the company integrates the entire egg value chain, positioning itself as one of the key players in the global layer poultry industry.

This acquisition agreement would double Global Eggs' production, bringing its annual revenue to USD 2 billion.

In the words of Ricardo Faria, this acquisition agreement "is not driven by recent market trends, but rather aligns with our international expansion strategy. Global Eggs international expansion began in November 2024 with the acquisition of Hevo Group, the second-largest egg producer in Spain.
